Polk, LA. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of (10) ten years general experience with a minimum of (7) seven years specific experience in management of Army Organizational, DS and Prepositioned Stock maintenance operations. A high school diploma or GED is required and (2) two plus years of college or technical school is highly desirable. Experience may substitute for education at the rate of one year of specific experience for (1) one year of high school or college. Must have recent prior experience with work order generation, flow and completion in the SAMS-IE/SARSS system. Have experience in scheduling, production reporting, ordering parts, controlling production to assure schedule compliance. Knowledge of governing programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals or established guidelines. Analytical ability to define problems, collect necessary data and establish facts and to take or recommend action based upon applicable established guidelines. Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and Power Point. The selected candidate must have valid driver’s license. Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening. “Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English” Job Description: Production Control Manager is one of the major keys to the maintenance operations success. He/she is responsible for technical and project management support of the programs and activities. Implements maintenance management programs for site operations. Perform a variety of maintenance and logistics tasks such as maintenance support, configuration management, and data management in support of components, equipment, and/or systems. Provide support to execute the Maintenance Mission at Fort Polk. Provides general support of continuous improvement initiatives and maintenance management and leadership techniques; facilitates application of those techniques. Develop, execute, maintain reviews, and comments on maintenance support plans, policies, procedures and similar data. Collect, review, and recommend introduction of new tools, management methods, and leadership techniques to enhance overall team performance. Develop, implement, and monitor maintenance strategies, processes, and initiatives to establish a systemic, efficient, standardized approach to all maintenance operations. Align maintenance functions with the needs of the customer and client. Demonstrates development and application of new systems, processes, or techniques that contribute to the achievement of business area goals. Essential Responsibilities: • Reports to the Maintenance Division Chief (MDC) • Principle advisor to the MDC on all maintenance matters directly influencing the service provided to the customer and our client. • Provides direction and leadership to maintenance activities • Reviews and interprets maintenance regulations and directives from higher headquarters to develop and implement efficient maintenance management systems. • Review the daily maintenance status and OR rates; provide assistance and direction as required. • Monitors personnel staffing and ensures that the required personnel are in the authorized positions according to the authorization document.
