**About the Business Line** **Water**
We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design\-build\.
**Job Summary** The Engineering department of AECOM is actively seeking a **Geotechnical Engineer/Project Manager** for immediate employment in the Albuquerque, New Mexico office\. The successful candidate will support the Civil and Water Resource design teams in New Mexico by working with a team to complete a variety of projects that involve geotechnical/geological aspects\. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
+ Projects consisting of the analysis and/or design involving:
- Geotechnical evaluations of earth structures such as ash dams, tailing dams, and water dams
- Geotechnical evaluations of public infrastructure
- Geo\-civil applications
+ Plan and direct geotechnical investigations
+ Perform geotechnical analyses such as settlement, seepage, and slope stability analyses
+ Perform and document general calculations to support engineering design elements
+ Prepare engineering reports
+ Manage geotechnical investigation and design projects
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Geotechnical Engineering or related Geological Engineering
+ 5\+ years of experience
+ Master’s degree in related engineering discipline can substitute for up to two years of work experience
+ PE registration
+ Experience with seepage and slope stability analyses
+ Strong communication skills and be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
+ Good organizational skills and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment
+ A valid driver's license is required
+ Demonstrate the ability to work in local teams as well as the flexibility to work as part of multidisciplinary groups
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Prefer local candidates or candidates with experience working in the southwestern states \(Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming, Colorado\)
