Reporting to the Industrial Safety group, the Safety Specialist supports execution of safety compliance with all Tank Farm activities, including subcontractor oversight. Must facilitate and monitor the implementation of company policies and procedures associated with safety and health regulations and control. Ensure that lessons learned are effectively communicated. Support safety/health assessments and ensure implementation of 29 CFR 1910/1926 and 10 CFR 851 Worker Safety and Health program. Conducts surveys, audits, investigations, and gathers information and data as may be required Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Safety & Health, Quality or a closely related discipline. 10 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 5 years of DOE experience. Desired Qualifications Certified Safety Professional (CSP) desired. Bargaining unit understanding relative to safety.
