**Job Summary**
AECOM are currently recruiting a **Construction Manager** for a major **Abu Dhabi** construction development project\. This role will be responsible for project management duties during the design and procurement phase and ensuring completion of consultant deliverables on time and on budget\.
Duties & Responsibilities:
•Supporting the client in preparation of the project briefs and reviewing design submissions and Construction Documentation\.
•Facilitating the client approval process, to ensure timely approvals of design stage deliverables\.
•Preparing and updating the Project Execution Plan\.
•Reviewing all consultant applications for payment and make recommendation\.
•Providing comprehensive monthly and weekly reports\.
•Setting up systems to monitor performance of scheduling, design development, compliance, brief/design report, cost and quality\.
•Working with Project Leader to identify construction budgets\.
•Arranging for the Project Team to adhere to the principles of Value Management and Risk Analysis\.
•Directing the Cost Manager to prepare commercial information for the Client\.
•Monitoring and supporting negotiations with all local and statutory authorities\.
•Confirming with the Client the procurement strategy for the project\.·
•Managing the procurement process of the Early Works Contract and Main Works Contract\.
•Assisting the Project Leader in devising and executing actions plans to rectify potential cost overruns or schedule delays\.
•Monitoring and reporting to the Project Leader on the progress of all project activity\.
•Conducting and attending regular meetings to review project status\.
•Logging and tracking the design team Requests For Information \(RFI’s\)\.
•Reviewing design proposals\.
•Ensuring compliance with the company’s Quality Assurance policies and procedures
**Minimum Requirements** Minimum 15 years of related construction supervision/management experience on major building development projects with a broad general engineering background\.
**Preferred Qualifications** A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction or equivalent\.
Professional Engineer or CIOB registration is an added advantage\.
