More information on AECOM and its services can be found at www\.aecom\.com\. **About the Business Line** **Environment** Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources\. **Job Summary** The Environmental Sciences Department in the AECOM Dallas office is actively seeking a creative and highly talented **Environmental Planner** for immediate employment\. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career as an Environmental Planner\. The Environmental Planner position will entail assisting with the coordination of production efforts with clients and staff, providing support for the coordination with environmental agencies and local municipalities, and assisting in the development of NEPA documents and planning studies\. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: + Working with Environmental Sciences Department staff on challenging transportation and environmental planning projects in Texas and the Nation, as appropriate + Providing appropriate support to AECOM multidisciplinary teams in delivering satisfactory outcomes to the client + Assisting in the preparation of environmental permit applications, NEPA documents, and planning studies + Assisting with marketing pursuits for the Environmental Science Department + Conducts technical analysis and upholding technical standards on variety of planning and environmental projects + Works with scientists and planners performing monitoring, field survey, and data collection activities + Assists with the delivery of environmental permit applications, NEPA documentation, and planning studies on assigned projects + Writes and presents formal and technical reports, working papers, and correspondence + Interprets and applies appropriate federal, state, and local laws to specific projects + Initiates actions necessary to correct deficiencies or violations of regulations + Identifies potential issues and opportunities in particular communities that could be mitigated through appropriate planning + Maintains professional knowledge of latest environmental regulations, requirements, and best practices + Recommends priorities, schedule, and funding sources to implement planning projects + Provides support to public involvement activities associated with linear infrastructure projects **Minimum Requirements** + Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Planning, Urban or City Planning, Engineering, or related field + 3\+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalent combination of education skills, knowledge, abilities, and experience + Master’s degree in related discipline can substitute for up to two years of work experience + Knowledge of principles and practices of planning, research, and data collection + Understanding of the National Environmental Policy Act \(NEPA\) and land use regulations + Experience working with teams in conducting field surveys and data collection to support the preparation of environmental documents + Knowledge of federal and local regulations guiding the planning/environmental process required for transportation projects + Experience in evaluating long linear infrastructure facilities + Understanding the importance of meeting critical deadlines + Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail + Creative problem\-solving skills to gather relevant information to solve less well\-defined practical problems + Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with large multidisciplinary teams + Ability to work independently or in a team environment, as needed + Excellent oral/written communication skills to convey complex information concisely and accurately + Ability to work well under pressure in a fast pace environment + Ability to work on several projects or issues simultaneously + Proficient in Microsoft Office products, Internet Applications, and understanding of Geographic Information System \(GIS\) **Preferred Qualifications** + Ability to perform air quality and noise modeling for a variety of projects, including land use projects and plans, transportation planning, etc\. + Knowledge and experience in air and noise modeling and noise monitoring \(e\.g\., TNM, HUD Noise Models and Integrated Noise Model \(INM\)\), air quality modeling \(e\.g\.
