We deliver creative solutions for building projects for industry, government, commercial and leisure sectors\. Our building engineering specialists have expertise in structural and building services engineering, fire engineering, acoustics, facades and seismic design\. **Job Summary** AECOM seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer\. In this role you will be responsible for design outputs from a multi\-disciplinary MEP design team and responsible for Mechanical design on a number of projects\. As a senior member of the team, it is expected that a Senior Mechanical Engineer will take responsibility for ensuring that all design work is produced on time and in accordance with the project quality requirements\.
Duties & Responsibilities:
+ Leading of MEP teams, from concept design through to construction issue and site supervision\.
+ Setting standards for mechanical design\.
+ Ensuring that all design teams follow the required standards\.
+ Leading and supervising design of mechanical services\.
+ Supervising and managing the preparation of design calculations\.
+ Supervising design according to local rules, regulations and design guides\.
+ Supervising design to British, American and/or International design standards as required by the project\.
+ Preparing technical specifications and reports\.
+ Supervising engineers and CAD operators in all project related matters\.
+ Taking responsibility for QA and the checking of all design work carried out prior to formal issue\.
+ Coordinating with Architects, Structural Engineers and other MEP disciplines\.
+ Ensuring full coordination between the MEP elements of the design team, throughout the design process\.
+ Ensuring that fully coordinated designs are delivered to program requirements\.
+ Acting as a focal point for matters related to MEP design\.
**Minimum Requirements** Candidates must hold a Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering\.Candidates must have 5\-10 years of experience, working on large mechanical design projects\.
**Preferred Qualifications** Masters degree a plus\.
