We deliver creative solutions for building projects for industry, government, commercial and leisure sectors\. **Job Summary** AECOM’s Cardiff office has an immediate requirement to appoint a Principal Civil Engineer on a permanent basis\. This role will perform a key function in a busy, multi\-disciplinary office\. Responsibilities for the role will include the following:
• Effectively control commercial, managerial and technical aspects of projects or parts thereof for which you are responsible\.
• Sourcing opportunities and preparing fee proposals for submission to client, including resources and programme\.
• Leading a team of engineers and technicians designing building infrastructure schemes\.
• Undertaking civil and infrastructure projects, performing analyses and calculations as appropriate\.
• Supervising work, ensuring that it is carried out to the appropriate technical standard and that it is managed to programme and budget
**Minimum Requirements** • A graduate in Civil Engineering or equivalent with experience of Civil Engineering in directly relevant fields\.
• Ability to deliver design solutions, assessment calculations, lead teams and successfully manage projects\.
• A solid track record of having worked on a variety of infrastructure projects, possibly as project leader on some, with experience of dealing directly with clients\.
• A highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills and ideally a Chartered Engineer\.
• Knowledge and experience of the local South Wales Marketplace
