Minimum Requirements: Basic Minimum Qualifications:
1. High School graduate or demonstrated equivalent.
2. Three years of experience in the repair and maintenance of fork trucks, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Two years of experience with the repair and maintenance of electric forklifts.
2. Excellent working knowledge of hand and power tools.
3. Ability to safely and effectively use welding equipment and diagnostic/calibration equipment.
4. Ability to work in a team environment.
5. Four year trade school.
6. Familiarity with Rite Aid Distribution Center and/or warehouse operations a plus.

Physical Requirements:
• Requires frequent moving of materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Must be able to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-coding.
• Must be able to move heavy objects, such as motors, etc. (may be more than 50 pounds.

• Some tasks will require repetitive wrist movement.

Job Description: URS, an AECOM company, is seeking a 2nd shift Fork Truck Mechanic in Aberdeen, MD! Typical work hours are Tuesday-Saturday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM; hours may vary based on business demand.
The Fork Truck Mechanic is responsible for ensuring the facility’s material handling equipment, such as electric forklifts, electric carts and floor scrubbing equipment, is repaired and maintained in a timely manner.
Essential Functions:
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs to electronically and computer controlled automated equipment, utility equipment, facilities, etc.
• Remove, repair and replace motors, pumps, drive unit and brake systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Change tires using hydraulic press.
• Use welding equipment.
• Complete daily work logs with detailed information on a timely basis.
• Ensure that work orders and monthly PM’s are completed as required.
• Maintain professional and courteous customer relations including, client, vendor, and internal team.
• Actively participates in safety meetings. Maintains safety work practices as define by URS.
• Communicates and advises MHE related concerns to fellow employees and management.
