More information on AECOM and its services can be found at www\.aecom\.com\. **About the Business Line** **Water** We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design\-build\. **Job Summary** The Pacific Northwest Mining Department of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Geotechnical Engineer for immediate employment in their Vancouver, BC office\. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in geotechnical engineering specific to mining and infrastructure design projects\. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects\. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: + Manage civil and geotechnical design projects at mine sites + Manage seepage, slope stability, deformation and liquefaction analyses + Visit remote mine sites for up to one week at a time + Familiarity with design reports, drawings, specifications and construction quality assurance plans + Experience with tailings, water retention, and sediment control dams and operations + Familiarity with mine open pit slopes, waste rock piles and water management practices + Lead the writing of geotechnical reports complete with supporting appendices + Be outgoing and comfortable in communicating with AECOM peers, client staff and regulator staff **Minimum Requirements** + Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or appropriate discipline + 10\+ years’ experience in geotechnical engineering, with a recent focus on mine tailings + Registration and designation as a Professional Engineer **Preferred Qualifications** + Dam tailings experience + Project management experience **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
