**About the Business Line** **Energy**
We address the complete spectrum of energy challenges, including clean and renewable energy, energy efficiency and carbon management, hydropower and dams, thermal, geothermal and wind power generation, and transmission and distribution\.
**Job Summary** The Electric T&D Leader is responsible for development of new business and expansion of current business in North America\. Client companies are utilities, transmission owners and developers, rural cooperatives and municipal utilities\. The Technical Practice Area Lead works with Client Account Managers and local office leadership to build relationships, develop proposals, and build AECOM teams to meet client needs for the T&D business and communicates with Power leadership and management\. The lead is also responsible for development of qualifications statements and marketing materials\.
The Electric T&D Leader works effectively with Power leadership team to ensure resources throughout the Practice are being maintained and grown, and utilized on projects and pursuits\. The Leader initiates and maintains extensive contacts with key officials of other organizations and works collaboratively with colleagues to deliver intelligent solutions that ensure creative product presentation and quality project delivery\.
This position can be located in any major city or close to any major airport\.
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or other relevant discipline
+ 15\+ years' experience in the T&D industry
+ Have broad contacts across the industry, including environmental and engineering organizations
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Excellent record of responsiveness to clients
+ Proven record of developing new clients
+ Ability to discern new markets and develop business in those areas
+ Expertise in the practical application of engineering principles and technology
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Sales and marketing experience
+ Project and program management for transmission, substation, and/or distribution projects
+ Specific technical knowledge of environmental requirements, siting, permitting, design, engineering, or other aspects of transmission
