Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facility Management, or other relevant discipline plus 5 years of experience in engineering or technical support related to industrial maintenance; OR 2. Associate’s degree or technical diploma in Engineering, Facility Management, or other relevant discipline plus 9 years of experience in engineering or technical support related to industrial maintenance; OR 3. Thirteen years of experience in engineering or technical support related to industrial maintenance. 4. Record of proven experience in Reliability Program Development or performing specialized troubleshooting and reliability deployment, and in programming/editing of PLC controls related to CNC Machine Tools in a Steel Manufacturing environment or other applicable technical Process Maintenance disciplines. Preferred Qualifications: 1. Record of proven performance as a Reliability Engineer on previous industrial/manufacturing projects in the Facility/Process Maintenance Management Industry. 2. Extensive experience in programming/editing of PLC controls related to proprietary testing equipment in steel manufacturing. 3. Demonstrated leadership ability and exceptional communication skills 4. Strong technical background in and understanding of operations in an industrial/manufacturing/research facilities environment, including experience related to production equipment projects. 5. Knowledge of and experience using CAE/CAD hardware/software, such as MicroStation, PDS, SmartPlant and/or comparable products. 6. Able to read, understand and follow mechanical and electrical schematics, blueprints and other specifications. 7. Experience with financial and strategic planning or Project Management. 8. Experience with employee supervision and mentoring. 9. Demonstrated focus on customer relations and client partnering. Physical Requirements: • Some tasks will require repetitive wrist movement. • Some tasks will require the ability to walk extensively throughout facilities during a workday. • Requires ability to read and understand information contained in a variety of documents or displayed on a computer screen. • Requires ability to use a variety of office equipment and to operate a computer keyboard to access data bases, to send/receive messages and to prepare documents. • Requires ability to attend meetings throughout the site and potentially travel to other URS, customer and/or vendor locations in the area, as well as some air travel to more distant locations. • Requires the ability to communicate with others on the telephone and in one-on-one or group discussions, meetings and presentations. • Demonstrated fluency in computer use including the full Microsoft product line. • Requires some moving of light to medium weight materials into desks, filing cabinets and other storage locations. • Requires the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress. Special Requirements: • Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed. • Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained. Job Description: URS, an AECOM company, is seeking a Reliability Engineer for our southern territory that includes West Plains, MO; Dyersburg, TN; Corinth, MS; and Booneville, MS. Ideally, candidates will reside within a 150-mile radius of Memphis, TN to serve the position’s territory. Hiring bonus may be available to qualified candidates outside of this area. The Reliability Engineer acts as a Lean Maintenance SME and adds support to maintenance teams with development of strategies that help create processes and programs able to sustain low operating costs. This position not only performs evaluations, but also trains teams to identify and eliminate waste, reduce operating and maintenance costs, and increase uptime. • Develops and maintains Reliability Programs, and creates a model that can be utilized across multiple site locations. • Proactively identifies potential project problems or opportunities and analyzes the issues, using all appropriate resources, to develop the optimum approach to mitigating problems and/or exploiting opportunities. • Should be fluent in PLC programming and editing, or other applicable Process Maintenance disciplines. • Identifies opportunities, perform root cause analysis, and develop reliability standards associated with proprietary machine tools and testing equipment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • High level maintenance planning and materials management; • Planning for shutdowns, turnarounds and plant outages; • Developing predictive maintenance strategies and training tools; • Performing risk-based asset management and root cause analysis; • Leading reliability and operations excellence. This position will also be available to support various special projects, asset management, trouble-shooting, metric and performance measurement development, and some site start-ups. • 10+ years of experience working in an industrial production environment is critical.
