Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Good written and oral communication skills; working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required. Position requires familiarity with and ability to stay current with industry safety standards. Position may require travel. Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance. Job Description: AECOM has several opportunities for a Compliance Manager to join our team at Stennis Space Center in Mississippi! Purpose and Scope: Plans, directs and coordinates activities of organization's safety operations. Essential Responsibilities: 1. Enforce compliance of operations with safety rules, procedures, policies, governmental and OSHA regulations. 2. Confers and cooperates with management personnel in formulating administrative and operational policies and procedures. 3. Directs and coordinates, through subordinate managerial personnel, activities of operations department to obtain use of equipment, facilities, and personnel. 4. Reviews and analyzes expenditure, financial, and operations reports to determine requirements for increasing safety. 5. Prepares recommendations on findings for management evaluation. 6. Recommends capital expenditures for acquisition of new equipment that would increase efficiency and safety of operations. 7. Approves requisitions for equipment, materials, and supplies within limits of operations department budget. 8. May negotiate contracts with equipment and materials supplier Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
