**About the Business Line** **Water**
We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design\-build\.
**Job Summary**
We are growing our team – hiring a Senior Project Manager with a background in Industrial Wastewater and Municipal Wastewater collection, conveyance and treatment systems for municipal agencies and private sector clients\. The successful candidate will be a Senior Project Manager seller/doer with a diverse background and extensive technical, project management, and client relations and business development experience\. In addition, the successful candidate will be capable of working with other industrial wastewater market segment leaders to develop new clients and strategies to leverage AECOM’s wastewater expertise and practice across North America\. Candidate should possess skills in business development activities, pursuing new clients/projects and preparing/presenting proposals\. Proficiency will depend on strong communication skills, previous experience leading interdisciplinary teams on large, complex municipal and industrial infrastructure projects and an interest in mentoring team members\.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ With support from senior management, provide strong and confident leadership in:
\- Client relationship development and management\- Project pursuit management
\- Financial management of projects and programs
\- Project delivery
\- Strategic and operational plans
\- Building and developing teams to win and deliver multifaceted projects
+ Lead single and multi\-disciplined projects\. Prepare and take responsibility for project engineering solutions\.
+ Visible internal and external leadership to support project delivery and business development needs
+ Communicate and coordinate efforts and ideas with peers and management team\.
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Professional Engineers license in Texas\.
+ 20\+ yrs\. experience in industrial and municipal wastewater consulting engineering and management
+ Previous and on\-going successful client relationships with major municipal clients and private sector clients in Greater Gulf Coast Area
+ Proven track record of successful project management of large, multi\-disciplinary design and construction projects
+ Strong technical capabilities in wastewater related projects \(pumping stations, treatment plants and water pipelines\) design and construction supervision
+ Desire to work in a team environment
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills Independently manage medium to large projects across a range of disciplines and/or procurement types
+ Manage multiple project simultaneously and follow projects through phases
+ Serve as design manager for design projects\.
+ Identify potential project problems or opportunities in a proactive manner, analyze the issues using all appropriate resources, develop alternatives and arrive at the most optimum approach to mitigate problems or exploit opportunities
+ Make sound, well informed and objective decisions relating to assigned project with a strong understanding of the impact and implications of decisions
+ Assist the Business Line Leader and Area Manager with client and project pursuits
+ Identify local and regional opportunities
+ Perform as a staff advisor and consultant within the group
+ Conduct peer reviews and makes technical presentations\.
+ May develop and evaluate project plans and criteria for a variety of projects and activities to be carried out by others\.
+ Plans, schedules, conducts or coordinates detailed phases of the engineering\.
+ Reviews and approves scopes, budgets and schedules for assignments\.
+ Tracks overall financial performance of task assignment and monitors sold time and work backlog on task\.
+ Makes decisions independently on engineering problems and methods, and represents the organization in conferences to resolve important questions and to plan and coordinate work\.
+ Carries out complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures
+ Delegates work to, mentors, trains and supervises less experienced staff to complete assignments
