Minimum Requirements: Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science or
• Associate of Science with five years of relevant experience, or
• A High School Diploma/GED with eight years of relevant experience,
• Must have a working knowledge of plant equipment and system operations with knowledge of regulatory and radiological control procedures.
• Must be willing to obtain and maintain Emergency Response Team training and qualifications standards and respond to emergencies.
• Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be US Citizens.
Preferred Requirements:
• Working knowledge of the site configuration control, DSA and USQ process
• Emergency response experience is preferred.
• Previous WIPP experience

Job Description: AECOM is seeking a Facility Operations Engineer to be based at our Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) in Carlsbad, NM.

Position Description:
The successful candidate must complete position qualifications and have the ability to act for the Facility Shift Manager. Apply basic knowledge of equipment and maintenance of equipment and systems under direction of lead engineer. Provide operational support to technical work crews. Maintain applicable operating procedures. Perform routine administrative duties, such as development of purchase requisitions, training materials and completions of operating logs and records. The preferred candidate will possess strengths in the following areas, operation of HVAC systems with digital controls, 13.8kv substations and distribution systems, vacuum systems, compressed air distribution and other systems required to operate the WIPP Site.
