Smith Minimum Requirements: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: - BA/BS degree or 8+ years of military experience equivalent. - 8+ years’ experience in multi-disciplined special operations at the Operational and Tactical levels supporting SOF - Experience in an interagency team environment in the PACOM AOR. - Knowledge in the Joint Exercise Life Cycle. - Thorough understanding of SOF core competencies, TTPs and operations. - Understanding of Advanced Special Operations - Knowledgeable in the use of training software and other IT mechanisms. - Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills - Familiarity with Asian cultures and languages *** Active TS Clearance is required *** Job Description: AECOM has an opportunity for a Sr. Exercise Controller to join our team at Camp H.M. Smith in Hawaii. This position will be supporting Special Operations Command Pacific Area of Responsibility (AOR) by supporting various Operational Planning Teams (OPTs). RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential Job Functions: SOCPAC requests additional support to exercise planning and execution. This capability will support SOCPAC’s requirement to participate in JCS and Service exercises in support of USPACOM TCP and USSOCOM Commander’s Training and Education Guidance requirements. This capability does not currently exist in sufficient quantities in SOCPAC. Requirements: Plan, coordinate and execute SOCPAC and component participation in assigned USPACOM JCS and Service exercises. Coordinate and manage exercise development in conjunction with USPACOM and component planner and participants. Develop training objectives that meet SOCPAC JMETL requirements. Ensure SOCPAC and component exercises inform the Defense Readiness Reporting System and fully incorporate the Joint Lessons Learned system. Services rendered under this task order shall enhance the command’s capability to train and prepare for a broad spectrum of threats from real and/or simulated adversaries. -Develop training objectives in conjunction with exercise participants and SOCPAC staff stakeholders. -Lead the coordination with exercise participants and supporters from other DOD and non-DOD organizations. -Draft and develop realistic threat scenarios, incorporate best-practice inputs from DOD and other agencies. -Coordinate exercise criteria to test and stress the command’s training objectives. Consolidate and draft After Action Reports (AAR) related to training objectives, training achievements, corrections, and COA development. URS and AECOM have joined together as one company.
