**About the Business Line** **Water**
We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design\-build\.
**Job Summary** We are currently recruiting for two experienced Commercial Manager to join our well\-established and experienced Water Business Line, we are flexible on location and some offices could include Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle, Birmingham, Basingstoke, St Albans, Southampton and Exeter\.
As a Commercial Manager you will have a portfolio of clients and will be responsible for both professional services and design build for those clients\. Your other responsibilities will include the following:
• Manage and build relationships with suppliers, monitoring and reporting their performance and compliance\.
• Collation, checking and presentation of Commercial and Financial forecasts\.
• Analyse and present cost and revenue variations vs budget\.
• Develop periodic forecasts and budgets as required\.
• Maintain financial impact assessments for instructed change\.
• Assist cost and expenditure planning / benchmarking\.in accordance with client process\.
• Support cost management, trending estimating and forecasting to the project\.
• Support management of budget and spend identifying ways to improve cost performance\.
• Carry out cost impact analysis of proposed changes to scope/schedule\.
• Assist Project Managers in the preparation of cost reports and analysis, identifying areas for improvement\.
• Work with the client teams to integrate commercial activities\.
• Identify areas of cost, risk and opportunity\.
• Manage relationships with both internal and external suppliers\.
**Minimum Requirements** • Significant experience operating in a commercial role\.
• Experience of both setting up and operating joint ventures\.
• Expertise in administering high value, multi\-disciplinary project work packages/contracts utilising NEC3, ideally gained in an engineering or construction environment\.
• The ability to review contracts to identify the risks\.
• Excellent negotiation skills\.
• Excellent communication skills\.
• Must have the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously\.
• Ability to assist in setting the commercial strategy over multiple sites and clearly communicate that through the wider team\.
• Able to demonstrate the establishment and application of financial and procurement governance utilising business systems and commercial, risk and schedule reporting processes that develop a results driven culture\.
**Preferred Qualifications** • Degree educated or equivalent in a relevant subject such as Law, Quantity Surveying, Project Management or equivalent\.
• Relevant professional membership or further qualifications would be preferred\.
