**About the Business Line** **Environment**
Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources\.
**Job Summary** The Environmental Division of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Geologist for immediate employment in the Charlotte, North Carolina office\. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects\.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Implementing field sampling and subsurface investigations, geologic logging and interpretation, installing monitoring wells, supervising subcontractors, upholding both client and AECOM health and safety standards, and assisting with data assessment and report preparations
+ Preparation of field logs and field activity summaries, groundwater elevation calculations, research of property history, or review of environmental regulations, supervising subcontractors, and assisting with data assessment and report preparations\. Upholding both client and AECOM health and safety standards
+ Interacting with multi\-discipline and multi\-office teams within AECOM, clients and regulatory agencies
+ Field work may be completed alone or as part of a field team
This position affords the ability to make an important and meaningful contribution to our projects, our clients and the environment\. The role will provide the opportunity for skill development in many aspects of the profession, as well as opportunities for increased responsibility, challenges and project management\.
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelor degree in geology, hydrology, engineering or environmental science
+ 2\+ years of experience of field data collection, data review and preparation of technical documents in environmental assessment and remediation
+ Must be proficient in standard office computer applications and software, to include Microsoft Office Suite
+ Requires completing training for Hazwoper OSHA 40 hour certification and enrollment in the medical monitoring program with initial and annual physicals, and initial and random drug screens
+ Must be able to strictly follow and adhere to Health and Safety protocols
+ Analytical and interpersonal skills, and solid planning and organizational skills
+ Must be able to work in a team environment, using time management & multi\-tasking skills
+ Must be able to represent AECOM well in front of clients and other outside personnel
+ Field work will be required\. Requires a tolerance for working in outdoor environments, including prolonged walking or standing on various terrain in a wide range of weather conditions
+ Must be willing to travel to project sites
+ Some lifting, climbing and manual labor is involved
+ Valid driver’s license is required
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience working with oil/gas pipeline surveys
