**Job Summary** AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented **Senior Project Accountant** for immediate employment\. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects\.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
+ Provide financial oversight and support on a moderate risk, moderate volume portfolio with multiple project managers crossing various business lines
+ Engage in regular meetings with project managers and/or project delivery teams on the status of projects
+ Participate in project review preparation, execution, and follow up
+ Assist Project Manager regularly with project setup, project monitoring, system updating and closeout
+ Ensure all incurred costs are reflected accurately and in a timely manner on the project
+ Assist project manager with the preparation and update of the EAC for all active projects
+ Ensure that financial reporting for pending change orders are reflected correctly in APIC, and appropriate approvals and documentation are in place
+ Ensure that the current budget reflects approved as\-sold contract margin plus all client approved changes
+ Work proactively with project managers to monitor and correct project financial issues in such as % complete >100%, BIEE adjustments, cash >contract value and others issues as they occur
+ Perform project analysis and prepare reports upon request for management review
+ Support Project Management team in Oracle and APIC system understanding
+ Understand month end events to ensure they are prepared completely and processed accurately and timely
+ Understand the commercial and billing requirements of the projects; ensure project set up accurately reflects proper billing requirements
+ Understand project costing methodologies, and provide assistance and review support on proposals for low risk projects
+ Assist PAMs with internal and external audit support as required
+ Support RFD and DFM group in monthly close activities as required
+ Assist in the preparation of the project risk analysis and RARs
+ Follow up on month end events to ensure they are processed in APIC timely
+ Support project pursuit teams in bid preparation as required
+ Support project teams in financial analysis for AECOM approvals
+ Internal and external audit support, when required
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Finance Accounting
+ 5\+ years of related experience in Project Accounting or Finance supporting project managers or project teams
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Completion of, or in pursuit of a professional designation in Accounting, Finance, or Business
+ Experience with project costing methodologies for project pursuits and proposals
+ Experience with Oracle
