GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere\. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world\. GSS supports the U\.S\. Government, non\-U\.S\. Governments and industry clients with worldwide program management, planning, design, operations and maintenance, logistics, aviation services, security, international development, environmental and civil engineering and mission and intelligence support\. **Job Summary** AECOM has an exciting opportunity for an experienced **Hazardous Material Waste Specialist** at the Redstone Arsenal contract located in Huntsville Alabama\. The applicant shall be knowledgeable of, and comply with, all applicable local, installation, federal and state environmental laws and regulations, the following is a non\-comprehensive list of applicable: 29 CFR, Labor; 40 CFR, Protection of Environment; 49 CFR, Transportation; the National Environmental Policy Act \(NEPA\); OSHA standards; AR 200\-1, Environmental Protection and Enhancement; AR 200\-2, Environmental Analysis of Army Actions, Installation Environmental Strategy Plan; TM 38\-250, Preparing Hazardous Materials for Military Air Shipments; Health Command Tech Guide 144, Guidelines for Controlling Health Hazards in Painting Operations; TB 43\-0197, Instructions for Safe Handling, Maintenance, Storage, and Transportation of Radioactive Items Under License C12\-00722\-06; TB 43\-0116, Identification of Radioactive Items in the Army; AR 385\-10, The Army Safety Program; and DA Pam 385\-40, Army Accident Investigations and Reporting\. The contractor shall maintain compliance with current ISO 14001 standards\. The applicant shall be familiar and fully support the long term goals for environmental sustainment of the installation in accordance with Redstone Arsenal’s Sustainable Installation Management System, ISO 14001\. The applicant will develop and define work center processes for reduction in the creation of wastes and the collection, segregation and transfer of materials identified as recyclable in accordance with Redstone Arsenal’s Recycling Program\. **Minimum Requirements** + High School Diploma or Equivalent\. + Must have a minimum 5 years’ experience\. + Must have experience with all aspects of Hazardous Material Management\. + HAZWOPPER & HAZCOM current certification a plus, must be able to get certified and hold certification within 45 days\. + Must be eligible for Secret Security Clearance if needed\. **Preferred Qualifications** N/A **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
