Position Description: The candidate will be required to perform a variety of duties in the Environmental Monitoring and Hydrology department. Responsibilities will Include supervision of drilling subcontractors while drilling and installing replacement wells at the WIPP and plugging and abandoning older monitor wells. This person will be also be responsible for all permitting aspects of the wells and close coordination with the New Mexico Office of the State Engineer. In addition the candidate will perform sampling duties, water level measurements, and support senior staff with data management and reporting. The candidate will become familiar with the geological and hydrogeological aspects of the WIPP area and be relied upon for geological and hydrological interpretation and geophysical log interpretation. Knowledge of project management skills and history of managing projects is required, to include scoping, budget management, and schedule adherence.
