Our global network of top\-tier specialists delivers comprehensive services over the full life cycle of a project to benefit clients in government and private industries\. **Job Summary** The Design and Consulting Services Division of AECOM is actively seeking creative, highly talented Survey Technicians for immediate employment in the Philadelphia Metro area\. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate a career in surveying\. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects\. The incumbent can look forward to projects including industrial, municipal and state agency clients throughout the region\. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: + Operates various types of surveying equipment, total stations, data collectors and GPS + Handles the vertical rod or targets for positioning and sighting to survey equipment + Assists with surveying calculations + Records survey measurements and descriptive data using notes, drawings, sketches and tracings + Sets out and recovers stakes, marks and other documentation + May provide survey reduction adjustments, analysis and mapping using AutoCAD Civil 3D or other programs **Minimum Requirements** + High school diploma or equivalent + Minimum two years of surveying experience + Thorough understanding of surveying equipment and technology for surveying activities + Capable of functioning with spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software + Must have strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well in teams + Valid DE, MD, PA or NJ Driver’s License **Preferred Qualifications** + Ability to acquire job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks + Ability to understand detailed instructions on all work and works under close supervision **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
