**About the Business Line** **Infrastructure Services**
We are planners, materials scientists, engineers, engagement consultants, asset managers and geotechnical specialists\. Our team works to shape and influence some of our world’s most complex and challenging infrastructure\. We also provide complementary services to other AECOM teams working in the sectors of Mining, Transportation, Manufacturing, Industrial and Water\.
**Job Summary**
The applicant shall have experience in working within an infrastructure department dealing with voltages upto 11kV \(including streetlighting\), although additional experience above this voltage band would be beneficial\. The applicant if appointed would be expected to undertake the lead electrical engineering role and be responsible for guiding junior members of staff and assisting with members of the team based on site\. Good communication skills is essential as the ideal candidate will be responsible for the liaison with both clients and EWA on a regular basis and relating to electrical issues\. As a minimum the following tasks will be undertaken by the candidate:
Duties & Responsibilities
+ Calculation and design of 11/0\.4kV networks including:
+ Load assessment and allocation;
+ Design and verification of single line diagrams upto 11kV from concept through to tender and construction issue;
+ Design and verification of electrical cable layouts and associated calculations;
+ Review of contract drawings and an understanding of practical constraints when installing electrical components;
+ Understanding of streetlighting design principles;
+ Development of project technical specifications;
+ Knowledge of contract types and implementation;
+ Site experience would be beneficial;
+ Knowledge of inspection and testing methods and procedures;
+ Some experience in utility coordination;
+ Project reviews;
+ Time/cost management;
+ Authority Liaison;
+ Following of application and permitting procedures\.
+ The candidate should have experience working in a multinational, multidisciplinary environment\. The candidate will also be expected to undertake tasks outside of his/her primary role such as bid preparation, telecoms containment \(ducted system\) layouts, authority liaison etc
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Proficient in MS office works
+ Understanding of Bahrain Electrical Design Standards and BS codes
+ Streetlighting design using DiLux software
+ AUTOCAD skills\.
+ MS Project
+ Technical writing skills
**Preferred Qualifications** The applicant should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and gained or is working towards professional registration with the IET\.
