Minimum Requirements: Minimum Requirements:
1. High School Diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
2. Three years of experience as an industrial maintenance technician, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Four year trade school preferred.
2. Experience with electrical high voltage (480 volt 3 phase).
3. Knowledge of PLC programming.
4. Experience with high voltage switch gear.
5. Knowledge of test equipment for relays, circuit breakers, and infrared scanning.
6. Work experience utilizing the National Electric Code (NEC).
7. Ability to read and understand repair manuals, specifications, drawings, and schematic diagrams.
8. Experience working in a Computerized Maintenance Management (CMMS) environment.
9. Experience with Microsoft Office software (i.e. Word, Excel, and Power Point)

Physical Requirements:
• Have the ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
• Have the ability to regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs.
• Must be able to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color coding.
• Have the flexibility to bend/stoop, squat, and kneel repetitively during shift.
• Have the ability to move in a 90-degree fashion on a repetitive basis for a shift.
• Have the ability to stretch/reach on a repetitive basis for a shift.
• Have the ability to walk extensively throughout the plant for a shift.

Job Description: URS, an AECOM company, is seeking a 1st shift Industrial Electrician III in Richmond, VA!
Typical work hours are Monday – Friday, from 7:30am – 4:00pm; hours may vary based on business demand. Must be willing to work flexible hours to support preventive maintenance cycles and provide prompt service to the customer.
The primary function of this position is to be responsible for electrical issues associated with facility maintenance systems at a research facility. This will include but not be limited to troubleshooting and repairing electrical equipment and controls, performing PM and predictive maintenance and repairs on electrical systems and equipment, instruments, control systems, drives and lighting systems.
Essential Functions:
• Troubleshoots and locates electrical problems in a variety of electrical equipment, controls and electrical systems.
• Performs preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and repairs on electrical systems and equipment, instruments, control systems, drives, and lighting systems.
• Requests assistance from higher level technicians as needed
• Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems
• Responds and provides service and feedback to the customer on all work orders while assuring compliance to codes, regulations and industry standards.
• Operates a variety of equipment such as hand tools, laptop computers and diagnostic hardware to perform work.
• Recommends measures to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance.
• Safely performs functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis, lockout/tagout, and wearing PPE as required.
• Performs administrative tasks such as developing work plans and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Maintains a strict schedule in order to be successful in the assignment.
• Flexible in the day-to-day activities and scheduling for the benefit of the customer.
• Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Ensures excellent customer service and safe work environment
• Under general supervision, performs tasks that reflect substantial variety and complexity. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Understands and complies with all safety rules and requirements.
• Other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor.
