Job Summary: The Project Controls Planning and Scheduling Analyst is responsible for supporting project planning and scheduling activities including engineering, materials management, construction, startup and operations. Project controls provides the tools and systems necessary to effectively and proactively manage, control, and report on cost and schedule for concurrent project throughout the organization. This position will also involve cost analysis, variance analysis, and other more advanced duties assigned within the project controls function. Ongoing training is an expectation and requirement of the position keep updated on the latest approaches and developments in the planning and cost analysis functions. Responsibilities: • Promoting responsible empowerment and the core values: safety, integrity, accountability, teamwork excellence, and leadership. • Analyzes and uses schedule data to identify key project issues. • Gathers data for schedule develop appropriate to task • Develops and maintains the WBS and helps to ensure that project coding is effectively used for all cornerstone applications • Able to develop CPM schedule logic. Extensive familiarity with the cornerstone scheduling system and ability to develop logic for elements of the engineering, procurement and construction process. • Contributes to scope control and change management and associated implications to project cost and scheduling • Knowledgeable of earned value management per ANSI/EAI 748, Earned Value Management System. • Measures progress and reviews schedule performance • Month end report generation • Creates and maintains the baseline schedule • Develops the baseline budgets • Procedure and policy development • Assembles data for trending and forecasting • Works with company financial systems and processes and understands the related implications for project controls.
