**Job Summary**
AECOM has an exciting opportunity for an experienced **Senior Planning & Scheduling Engineer** to be based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia\. A senior member of AECOM Project Management Consultancy Services team within the SRO project group with responsibility for project controls and management reporting on the new 450km Haramain High Speed Rail project\. The project consists of a high speed electrified rail link between the Holy cities of Mecca and Madinah and includes civil engineering earthworks and structures, four new stations with an additional link to the new Jeddah airport station infrastructure and rolling stock together with an operating and maintenance phase following completion\. Project controls and maintenance of a continually updated master schedule is key to success in planning and monitoring the performance of the various contractors and the numerous interfaces\.
Duties & Responsibilities:
+ Manage project controls and support function\.
+ Plan, coordinate and confirm the completeness and accuracy of all project control activities and reporting\.
+ Provide consultation to project managers, project controllers, clients in project controls practices, processes and procedures\.
+ Review Claims in liaison with AECOM Contracts & Commercial Manager\.
+ Advice Client on scheduling issues
+ Responsible for creating and maintaining master schedule\.
+ Analysis of programme interface issues between contracts\.
+ Lead and/or participate in the identification of risks and eliminate or implement mitigation measures\.
+ Monitor design and site works against short and intermediate term schedules\.
+ Contribute to development of global project controls approach and improvement within AECOM business units
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Degree in Engineering
+ Minimum 15 years relevant experience in project planning
+ Qualified in advance Primavera P6
+ Well developed skills in MS Office Suite with emphasis upon spreadsheets\.
+ Conversant with MS Project and MS Visio
+ Knowledge of the FIDIC Forms of Contract\.
+ Experience managing master schedules\.
+ Previous experience of Construction Projects in the Middle East is a distinct advantage\.
+ Knowledge of project administration tasks for construction projects from award and contract implementation to project close\-out\.
+ Ability to organize, co\-ordinate, and lead a small team managing schedules and risk\.
+ Ability to prepare concise, accurate, and unambiguous documentation\.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Desirable \- Minimum 5 years experience on rail projects
