**About the Business Line** **Environment**
Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources\.
**Job Summary** AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented Environmental Engineer/Scientist for immediate employment located at our Miami, Florida office\. The qualified professional will have the opportunity to work in the field at least 50\-75% of their time and the remaining time in the office working on projects related to environmental assessment and remediation\. \.
The Specific duties will include but not limited to:
+ Conducting and overseeing field activities related to environmental assessment and remediation of sites impacted with petroleum products, dry cleaner solvents, and other hazardous substances at private, state, local and federal facilities
+ Tasks include overseeing drilling of wells and soil borings, overseeing excavation of contaminated soils, collection of soil and groundwater samples, and other field\-related tasks
+ Assisting project managers in preparing analytical summary tables, assessment reports and with developing environmental site assessment and remediation strategies for contaminated sites, and preparation of draft and final plans and reports for agency approval
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelor's degree in related field
+ Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and related engineering programs
+ Ability to work in a team/group setting as well as individually, depending on the project
+ Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and oral
+ Some short\-term travel may be required to project locations out of town
+ Must have a valid driver's license
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ 2\+ years of experience in environmental consulting industry preferred
+ Current 40 hour HAZWOPER training and 8 hour annual refresher classes preferred
