AECOM’s Global Support Services \(GSS\) organization resides within AECOM’s Government business line and is comprised of three divisions — International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs\. **Job Summary** AECOM has an exciting opportunity for an experienced **Travel Clerk I** in Ft\. Bliss, TX\. Serves as the Defense Travel Clerk \(DTC\) for the Defense Travel System \(DTS\), and the Transportation Operational Personal Property System \(TOPPS\) that is critical for creating invoices and shipping documentation for personal property to be shipped to different locations or stored at government expense\. The DTC creates organization, profiles, routing lists, establishes lines of accounting and budgets in the system, and troubleshoots system issues as they arise\. Processes and submits all travel vouchers, invoices, reviewing them for errors and ensuring the vouchers meet regulatory requirements\.Participates with out\-processing of departing Soldiers and Family members\. Interprets and applies a wide variety of regulations, directives, precedent cases, and written and unwritten policies to provide comprehensive advice and assistance to customers\. Provides briefings to ensure travelers understand their entitlements and what documentation will be needed to file a travel claim\. Arranges travel for civilian staff and uniformed members in coordination with mission areas and in compliance with Department of Defense \(DoD\) contracted travel services ensuring approved travel meets all regulatory requirements and is efficient and cost effective\. Works with contract shipping carriers and determines what mode of shipping household goods will be utilized for travel\. Drafts required documentation and coordinates with DoD offices and carriers to secure business class shipping travel approvals\. Assist in completing reviews and audits of travel orders to ensure travel mode and entitlements are proper and accurately reflect traveler’s itineraries\. Audits travel orders to ensure they are in compliance with regulatory guidance, reflect appropriate accounting citations, funding allotments, and budget clearances\.Extensive knowledge of travel regulations, that governs a wide variety of personal property, shipping, and storage to make arrangements for pickup and delivery of household goods\. Provide advice, and to perform interrelated or non\-standard transportation supports services and resolves a wide range of problems\. Has the authoritative knowledge of various travel, and shipping l policies, procedures, and laws government official military, civilian, foreign, and domestic travel and storage\. Ability to review travel orders and applicable regulations to determine entitlements and thorized methods of travel\. Receives reviews and screens requests for storage and personal property shipping benefits for employees and/or their dependents to include permanent change of station, household goods movement, and non\-temporary storage of household goods\. Maintains files for non\-temporary storage for serviced employees and coordinates with CONUS activities on extensions of non\-temporary storage of household goods\. Performs other duties and additional duties as assigned\.
**Minimum Requirements**
+ 0\-2 years of related experience\.
+ Hight School Diploma or equivalent\.
+ Computer Literate\.
+ Familiar with Department of Defense Transportation and travel regulations\.
+ Familiar with aggressive Data Entry\.
+ Extremely customer focused\.
+ The ability to multi\-task\.
+ The ability to brief small and large groups of people\.
+ Familiar with daily operating procedures\.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ The ability to type a minimum of 25 wpm on normal business automation equipment\.
