**Job Summary** We are currently seeking a Bridge Design / Rating Engineer to join our growing bridge Group in Louisiana as a Bridge Engineer\.The position is based in Louisiana with an opportunity to support AECOM's bridge practice across the Gulf South and country\.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
+ Participation in a variety of programs including bridge design, plan preparation, bridge inspection and bridge rating
+ In addition to analysis of bridge structures, other structures may include retaining walls, box culverts, arch culverts, canopies, sign structures, signal structures, and various types of foundations
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited school and 0 to 2 years of experience
+ Experienced in the use of MicroStation \(preferred\) or AutoCAD
+ Proficient in the use of MS Excel
+ Ability to travel within AECOM's Gulf Coast Region is a requirement and supporting AECOM's national bridge inspection program is a plus
+ Physically capable to climb bridge structures and work outside in a variety of weather conditions
+ NCEES certification as an Engineering Intern \(EIT\) by successfully completing the Fundamentals of Engineering \(FE\) exam or pass within 3 months
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience as a bridge inspector or with rating bridges
+ Master's Degree in Civil Engineering \(MSCE\) with an emphasis on structural design is preferred, 2 to 5 years of direct bridge design experience may be substituted for a MSCE
+ Certification as EIT \(NCESS E\.I\.\)
+ Additional NHI trainings, including fracture critical training
+ Knowledge of PONTIS, LA DOTD inspection procedures, and other LA DOTD procedures
+ DOTD and/or MDOT experience
