**Job Summary**
AECOM has an exciting opportunity for an experienced **Transportation Coordinator II** to join the MOSC\-A in Afghanistan\. The duties and responsibilities of the Transportation Coordinator are responsible for load planning and TC\-AIMS\. Provides sequence of operation and distribution of work; designates workers and assigns work\. Provides movement control support for the surface movement of cargo and personnel through the U\.S\. military transportation system\. Responsible for receiving, validating and processing all transportation movement request \(TMR\) and Air Movement Request \(AMR\) for the personnel and equipment transiting, origination and terminating assigned MCT Area of Responsibility\. Coordinates between MCT functions to ensure efficient, timely, and cost effective support to the customer\. Identifies and troubleshoots problem areas in movement and recommends solutions to management\. Works closely with customers to ensure desired movement objectives, priorities and schedules are met and communicated to management\. Analyzes work process and develops matrix for measuring performance\. May be required to perform Seaport, Airport, A/DACG, HTD, HAZMAT, and other Movement Control Functions\. Prepares, compiles, and submits reports on work schedule, activities, operations, and production\. Confers with customer, supervisors, contractors, and other personnel to exchange information and resolve problems\. Performs other duties as assigned\.
**Minimum Requirements**
+ High school diploma or equivalent required\.
+ DOT HAZMAT certification \(Ammo 62\) required prior to start date\.
+ Air Load Planners course required prior to start date\.
+ 1\-3 years Movement Transportation Control and Coordination experience required\.
+ General office administrative skills required\.
+ Must be able to obtain Security Clearance prior to start date\.
+ Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral English\.
+ Ability to prioritize work\.
+ Requires a collaborative work style that fosters cooperation and teamwork\.
+ Driver’s license may be required\.
+ Knowledge of administrative policies, office procedures, and techniques\.
+ Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology\.
+ Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services\. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction\.
+ Must have a high level of understanding of office procedures\.
+ Must have general understanding of basic business practices\.
+ Must have good interpersonal skills\.
+ Must be able to handle confidential company and employee information with complete discretion\.
+ Must be organized and have the ability to priotitize tasks\.
+ Must have experience with MS Office, including Word and Excel, Outlook and other related applications\.
+ Must have good oral and written communications skills\.
+ Must be able to function with an intermediate level of English oral and written language skills, through demonstrated proficiency, testing or both\.
+ Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively during a 77 hour work week\.
+ Must be able to lift 25 Lbs continuously, 50 Lbs intermittently\.
+ Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures\.
+ Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions\.
+ Must be able to work overtime as needed or required\.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ US Army 88N preferred\.
+ General understanding of military and government contracting terminology is preferred\.
