**Job Summary** The Building \+ Places of AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented Structural Engineer for immediate employment in the Oakland, CA office\. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects\.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
+ Applies standard practices and techniques in specific situations
+ Adjusts and correlates data
+ Recognizes discrepancies in results
+ Follows operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes
+ Performs standard computations or analysis
+ Prepares drawings and visual aids
+ Performs basic structural calculations
+ Performs assignments designed to develop professional knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard scientific techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out tasks
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or other related discipline
+ Basic knowledge of steel, concrete and timber design
+ Knowledge of loads, physics, and materials to understand and predict how structures support and resist self\-weight and imposed loads
+ Capable of functioning with spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software
+ Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position
+ Fundamental project management skills acquired through in\-house training program
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Knowledge and experience in CADD, HCS, AutoCAD, Microstation preferred
