We enable the success of our employees and our operations by ensuring they have the tools, information, resources and support they need to do their jobs\. **Job Summary** As Director of Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting, you will be responsible for AECOM’s overall compliance with GAAP\. GAAP compliance includes reviewing and updating our existing technical documentation as necessary based on changes in our business, as well as technical research, interpretation and documentation for new accounting guidance\. **Responsibilities:** + Research, analyze and conclude on technical accounting issues, including the preparation of memorandums regarding the Company’s position in a clear, logical and comprehensive manner + Monitor and ensure timely identification of evolving accounting guidance and potential impacts on the company + Ability to understand contract terms and other business matters and translate them into the appropriate application of U\.S\. GAAP + Work closely with various departments in addressing day\-to\-day business activities and associated accounting implications and recommend practical solutions associated with the contemplated business transactions + Provide ongoing technical training for the accounting organization and technical accounting direction to AECOM’s foreign entities on U\.S\. GAAP treatment of transactions + Collaborate with the Corporate Controller to develop and maintain AECOM’s financial accounting policies and standards + Ensure financial statements are prepared in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles + Provide a high level of customer service within Accounting and Finance and to our non\-Accounting business partners + Support AECOM Capital with ad\-hoc requirements including financial reporting and relevant JV accounting research + Other tasks as assigned by the Corporate Controller **Minimum Requirements** + Bachelor's degree in accounting + CPA required + 12\+ years’ work experience in accounting with some industry experience in financial reporting + Big 4 accounting firm experience preferred + Advanced knowledge of SEC regulations and rules + Strong, demonstrated knowledge of US GAAP + Proven problem solving skills \- defining problems, collecting relevant data, and draw valid conclusions, and recommending corrective actions + Strong analytic, and communication skills \(both written and verbal\) + Strong interpersonal skills + Self\-motivated, adaptive, proactive, quick learner, and works well with others with minimum supervision, in a fast paced dynamic environment **Preferred Qualifications** Advanced degree **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
