Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands: Most positions involve work typical of office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting with occasional use of computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must posses planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines. Some positions involve work in environments (e.g., shipboard, labs, outside locations, etc.) where mechanical equipment, weapons, etc. are being installed, tested, analyzed/monitored, operated, and/or maintained. Equipment may be loud and noisy or have exposed moving components. Such positions may involve routine lifting up to 50 pounds, regular handling, grasping, kneeling and carrying, and constant use of vision and mental alertness is required. Job Description: AECOM is seeking an Engineer for our Crane, IN office. Essential Responsibilities: 1) Assist in the development of engineering technical documentation for threat load development and test evaluation engineering disciplines. Assist in the development of and review technical documentation for proper content and accuracy as well as providing engineering support for the government. Support system requirements by performing an analytical review of all available test data for technical documentation. 2) Prepare and assure that the detailed technical data documentation that is necessary to support GOV systems reflects the latest design and configuration. Perform technical data support tasking for GOV threat load development and test & evaluation. Technical documentation may be in the form of paper, electronic (digital) or interactive computer systems. The Technical Data will include: Drawings, Specifications, Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M), Engineering Assessment Reports, Threat Load Change Requests, Test Readiness Review Action Plans (TRRAP), Test Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) and Test Plans. 3) Provide T&E engineering input for the development of the master test plan and assisting in the development of the master test schedule for USMC CREW. The test and evaluation engineering task shall also include technical support for testing of the prototype and fielded systems. Efforts shall include design and development of test events, test data collection and test data analysis during and after the tests, on-site support during tests, and development of final test reports. Review, reduce, analyze and interpret raw data produced during test series. 4) Assist in the development of interim and final reports of laboratory/test site investigations including integrating text and graphics into the final version and verify classification markings, format accuracy and provide document control. Specific sections of these reports shall be used as attachments to the final report submitted by the Government. 5) Design a portion or section of an analysis or design review. 6) Prepare, deliver and submit technical presentations for in process design and review meetings. 7) Establish and maintain a filing system or databases as needed for tracking project status. 8) Develop, maintain and produce technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications. 9) Direct interface and liaison with customers at all levels from quotation to final design and test activities, design reviews and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications. 10) Conduct site visits and investigate engineering problems, propose solutions and alternatives, and provide recommendations. 11) Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures. Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
