Job Description: URS is seeking a SmartPlant / Business and Engineering Analyst to be located at our Richland, Wa location.
A business and engineering process analyst is responsible for the automation of processes used by engineering to create deliverables for internal and external customers.
• Development of the required level of automation to meet engineering process
• Production of the Batch Automation Requirement Software Requirement Specification
• Configuration, testing, baselining, and maintenance of automation systems
• Aiding in development of the configuration management strategy and implementing procedures
• Aiding in the review of operating procedures as applicable to the automation systems
• Advising and resolving issues between Operations personnel and Plant Engineering
Working knowledge of the following is preferred:
• SmartPlant Foundation / SmartPlant for Owner/Operators
• Data Flow Diagrams
• Sequential function charting
• Function diagrams (ISA TR5.1.01/TR77.40.01)
• Cyber Security (DOE O 205.1A)
• Knowledge of software requirements from NQA-1, DOE O 414.1C and Graded Approach methods for software quality
• ASQ Software Quality Training
• Knowledge of IEEE, ISA and IEC Standards for software
• Ability to work with diverse organizations which have responsibility for software quality
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/TASKS
With the assistance of the Project Program Sponsor is responsible for:
•Review of drawings/documents related to the requirements, design/implementation, acceptance tests, and test reports to support Operations requirements for functionality, reliability, maintainability, and quality
•Aiding in the design, production and maintenance of programs and procedures to accept, install, and maintain software after turnover from startup
•Advising and resolving issues between Plant Operations personnel and the design agency/authority maintaining qualifications associated with assignments
