Title Material Asset Manager Position Number 26608 Company WA River Protection Solutions Location 200E/218A Posted 06/25/2015 Closes 07/02/2015 Regular/Temporary Regular Job Responsibilities/Duties * Accountable for safety based on the principle of no injuries to anyone * Set challenging goals for personal and group accomplishment * Work with customers to help ensure that materials are on the jobsite in accordance with commitments. * Review and assign work to material coordinators assuring all BOMs and Material Requests are filled out correctly and completely. * Keep the project informed of the status of all materials, for applicable discipline, on an assigned BOM/MR. * Follow through by working with the procurement department in the issuance of a purchase order. * Support development of procedures within Maintenance/Spare Parts responsibilities to ensure timely efficient delivery of materials. * Prepare and issue status and control reports as required. * Assist in conducting material control TFMSS training programs. * Coordinate equipment spare parts requirements including requisitioning and status reporting * Maintain spare parts inventories, work packages, consumables, and convenience storage material tracking and control. Maintain warehouses and database/processes for these inventories and implement reorders as needed. * Establish/maintain unique single Catalog ID's for component parts including using standard description layouts. Correct any descriptions not conforming to standard. Eliminate all duplicate catalogue ID's for the same part. * Coordinate return of items to vendors as required. * Coordinate disposition of all inventory in Material Services name. * Prepare and disposition DOE's, SSR's,SAR's. * Implement purging/excessing process to clean out obsolete equipment at 2101M, 2101HV, 218A, assigned connex boxes, and all site general purpose areas. * Oversee excessing program and interfacing with MSA to remove excess from the site. * Recommend procedure/policy changes for continuous improvement and develop implementation plans, as necessary. * Support coordination of all WRPS materials storage functions (e.g. 218A & 2101HV) Required Qualifications BA/BS degree plus 10 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least 5 years of experience in managing material assets and property. Desired Qualifications Knowledge of Passport system, inventory TFMSS database, contract interpretation and input, planning/scheduling, and facility security. Skilled in report and database development. Background in hazardous materials. Knowledge of DOE orders and State/Federal regulations. Experience related to the acquisition of materials, handling, storage and transportation, disposal of hazardous materials excess items, P-card issues and supply chain process.
