**About the Business Line** **Water**
We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design\-build\.
**Job Summary** AECOM in Trinidad has an opportunity for a Resident Inspector for the Multiphase Wastewater Rehabilitation Program\. This position is part of the Water group and more specifically part of AECOM Construction Contract Administration team on\-site in Malabar and San Fernando\. The ideal candidate will have either a background or a keen interest in municipal infrastructure projects, wastewater treatment plant collection system design or construction\.
Responsibilities include:
+ Observe and monitor construction work on\-site\.
+ Review Quality Control and Quality Assurance records and checklists kept by others for completeness\.
+ Provide Quality Verification to the AECOM Project Manager that the works are constructed in accordance with the Technical Specifications and the detailed design\.
+ Monitor and report on HSE incidents on\-site\.
+ Prepare Daily Inspection Reports and submit them for review by Assistant RE, RE and others\.
+ Prepare entries for the weekly inspection reports and monthly progress reports\.
+ Assist with water quality sampling at the direction of the HSE officers\.
+ This role is based in Trinidad\.
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Civil engineering qualification of a degree or diploma from a recognized post\-secondary institution
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Minimum of 3 years of site inspection/construction management\.
+ Good understanding of civil engineering construction practices\.
+ Familiarity with material and construction quality control standards\.
+ Experienced in use of tablet pc, laptop and MS Office\.
+ Adaptable and pro\-active\.
