Job Description: Level-Specific Responsibilities:
Under supervision, performs professional level support activities in one or more functional areas of human resources. Duties are broad in nature, usually requiring originality and
ingenuity. Confers with supervisor on unusual matters. Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures to the completion of difficult assignments. Assists in the development and implementation of human resources policies and procedures. Prepares reports in conformance with legal requirements or organization needs.
Will be responsible for providing support in the functional areas of Human Resources including compensation, benefits, staffing, employee relations, equal employment opportunity (EEO), employee development, labor relations, and related areas. Ensures adherence to company policies, procedures, and related government regulations. Also:
- Ensuring proper classification of craft personnel.
- Assisting with benefit enrollment processing.
- Obtaining Pre-employment job information, coordinating arrangements for medical examinations, reporting dates, security clearances (if applicable), and employment processing.
- Posting and résumé routing activities including employment advertising design and placement.
- Craft Applicant interviews, screening, reference checks, and selection.
- Maintaining adequate staffing levels.
- Employee orientations.
- Counseling employees concerning work related problems.
- Uniform and equitable application of organizational policies and procedures.
- Appropriate action to address and resolve employee relations issues.
- Exit interviews and grievance procedures.
- Affirmative Action/Equal Employment Opportunity Programs for minority and female employment and advancement, in compliance with legislation and management directives.
- Required EEO/AA statistical reports.
This is a FIELD position to based in Questa, NM.
