Our expertise in providing the full range of mission\-critical services is sought after by private\-sector and national/state\-owned oil and gas companies\. **Job Summary** AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented College Student as an Engineer Intern for immediate part time employment \(up to 30 hours per week\) in the Columbia, SC office\. The appropriately qualified applicant will assist with research, planning and design of gas transmission and distribution pipelines in the Mid\-Atlantic\-South region under the direction of a professional licensed engineer\. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: + Support the pipeline engineering staff in the Columbia, SC office + Assist with the preparation of engineering drawings in AutoCAD, spreadsheets, technical memorandums, research, and engineering calculations + Participate in meetings to present and discuss findings/recommendations + Assist a project engineer with observation and monitoring of on\-going pipeline projects + Use knowledge of mathematical and science principals to evaluate problems and develop solutions under the supervision of a staff engineer + Assist in research and analysis of data + Ability to gain familiarity with regulations governing the implementation and operation of on\-going projects + May require visits to project sites **Minimum Requirements** • Student in good academic standing actively pursuing Bachelor's degree in any engineering discipline from ABET Accredited university • Qualified applicants must have valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience with AutoCAD and GIS + Good writing and communication skills + Knowledge of MS Office Suite **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
