Job Description: URS Corporation is seeking a Plant Engineering Nuclear Safety Manager to be based out of our Richland, WA location.
This position is responsible for oversight and management of nuclear safety resources across the WTP facilities, and includes managing the full range of nuclear safety support. Support implementation of the DSA and TSRs into operations. Responsible for implementation of the DSA and USQ program.
• Performing work to established policies, procedures, and guides.
• Coordinating necessary and required activities to implement the DOE-approved safety basis documentation and Technical Safety Requirements to support operations of the facilities of the Hanford Waste Treatment Plant (WTP).
• Coordinating necessary revisions to the authorization basis with Nuclear Safety Engineering, including necessary support documentation, for major facility changes following DOE approval for operations.
• Coordinating the implementation of the Nuclear Safety program for operations.
• Facilitating interfaces across multiple project organizations, tracking closure of technical issues/comments and ensuring the quality of final products.
• Presenting information verbally or in writing to groups internal and external to the project team.
• Interfacing with DOE and the DNFSB on nuclear safety issues and concerns.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/TASKS
