Our global network of top\-tier specialists delivers comprehensive services over the full life cycle of a project to benefit clients in government and private industries\. **Job Summary** The AECOM Milwaukee Transportation group provides the full range of services required to plan, design, construct, and operate and maintain transportation projects for public and private owners\. AECOM is a leader in highway engineering in Wisconsin\. Currently, we are working hand in hand with Wisconsin Department of Transportation on major highway and bridge construction projects in the SE, SW and NE Region of the state\. The candidate would be asked to work 3 consecutive semesters or 3 alternating semesters starting in the Fall of 2015\. The chosen candidate will have an opportunity to work with the planning, roadway, and structural departments\. Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to: + Assist civil engineers in design tasks associated with the design of roads and bridges + Prepare computations, perform CADD work \(MicroStation\), and assist with field surveys + Assist Transportation Engineering Department with various project\-related and administrative tasks + Perform a variety of assignments, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out tasks **Minimum Requirements** + Currently enrolled as a sophomore or junior at an accredited university with a relevant major + Able to do 3 consecutive semesters of co\-op work starting Fall 2015 or 3 alternating semesters \(work/school\) + Knowledgeable with AutoCAD, MicroStation or similar software products + Capable of managing projects technically and financially and handling multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously + Ability to communicate and interact effectively and successfully with project managers, team engineers, and other staff + Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre\-employment substance abuse test **Preferred Qualifications** + Previous transportation engineering internship/coop experience **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
