More information on AECOM and its services can be found at www\.aecom\.com\. **About the Business Line** **Environment** Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources\. **Job Summary** Responsible for managing SH&E activities and initiatives An Individual who is competent in all aspects of construction safety including but not limited to fall protection, cranes, lifting, electrical, temporary wiring, confined space and heavy equipment hazards\. + Identify, review and track all construction work\. + Provide technical advice and consultation\. + Support the construction safety program management as an additional safety reviewer on all projects during the design phase before construction\. + Abide by review dates set so project schedules are met\. + Keep logs, written and electronic documentation of all review comments of projects\. + Provide daily comments of construction inspections and make them available to the construction safety program management for review\. + Ensure all construction project sites are inspected at a minimum once per day\. + Provide more frequent inspections for sites with more potential risk or contractors that are non\-compliant as well as detailed oversight of hazardous work activities such as but not limited to all crane lifts\. + Conduct reviews of all construction permit submittals applications which can include but not limited to site specific written safety plans for all construction projects\. + Review Code of Safe Practices, Activity Hazard Analyses \(AHA\)/Job Hazard Analysis \(JHA\), training records and other injury prevention data submitted by the contractor for compliance to all applicable regulations and procedures\. + Notify responsible parties of safety hazards and ensure they are corrected\. + Document violations and document the correction or mitigation used\. + Verify that construction site employees are trained in recognition of job site hazards, procedures for protecting themselves from injury, first aid, and procedures to follow in the event of an emergency or injury\. + Coordinate with the construction safety program management and responsible party to ensure that construction hazards are identified and abated in a timely manner\. + Attend meetings which could include but not limited to pre\-construction meetings, weekly construction planning meetings, construction safety meeting, etc\. + Review Hot Work activities during the daily inspections of jobsites and ensure a permit is posted onsite\. + Inform contractors to contact the Fire Prevention Office for a Hot Work Permit\. + Notify the Fire Prevention Office if a Hot Work Permit hasn’t been permitted on a jobsite\. + Meet as often as necessary with the construction safety program management, but at a minimum weekly to discuss the project activities, concerns and issues\.
