Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources\.
**Job Summary**
**The Opportunity**
If you are a dynamic and enthusiastic Planner wanting to take on a senior role in one of New
Zealand’s premier infrastructure firms, then we have an opportunity for you\. Our Auckland team
is looking for a Principal Planner to help us in the delivery of excellent planning support across
a range of public and private clients\. We need you to have a strong knowledge of the Resource
Management Act, as well as an understanding of Regional and District Plan Frameworks as this
role requires an ‘all\-rounder’ who can contribute to the following services:
+ Providing strategic advice to our clients on planning and regulatory matters\.
+ Preparing consenting strategies for projects\.
+ Managing and preparing resource consent and designation applications\.
+ Undertake environmental assessments, consultation, evidence preparation and facilitation of successful consenting outcomes\.
+ Preparation and presentation of submissions on behalf of clients\.
+ Managing and coordinating District Plan reviews\.
+ Processing complex consent applications\.
+ Manage client relationships and help secure additional client and project opportunities\.
**Minimum Requirements**
**About You**
To be successful in securing this role we need you to demonstrate that you:
+ Are enthusiastic and have a ‘can do’ attitude\.
+ Possess a high level of self\-confidence and are able to organise yourself and others\.
+ Can communicate well and will be client focussed\.
+ Have a minimum of 10 years New Zealand planning experience, preferably
+ in a consulting environment\.
+ Have a Resource Management or NZ Planning qualification and is a
+ Member of the NZPI \(or eligible\)\.
+ Take pride and direct responsibility to deliver on your commitments\.
+ Will be able to provide mentorship and support to junior staff\.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Previous consulting experience in the NZ planning field\.
