More information on AECOM and its services can be found at www\.aecom\.com\. **About the Business Line** **Program, Cost, Consultancy** We provide cost and project management services, and specialist consultancy services, to public\- and private\-sector clients around the world, with a strong presence in Africa, Australia and New Zealand, Europe, the Middle East and the United States\. **Job Summary** Our Altrincham office are looking for a Senior Consultant to deliver the complete planning capability for client organisations and provide support to the wider Project Controls, Programme/Project Management Construction / Delivery teams and ensure that all deliverables are achieved safely, to time, cost and quality\. The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of services to our clients and provide technical support within development, maintenance and reporting on project programmes/schedules using industry recognised software and techniques\. In addition to this the Senior Consultant will provide mentor/supervisory to Consultants and client resources if required\. Typical tasks may include: Ensuring the delivery of quality, environment, safety and health performance in accordance with the requirements of the business’ SHEQ policy and SHEQ management systems within all areas of this roles’ responsibility Assisting with the development of and implementing best practice planning policy, processes and procedures Accurately identifying, controlling and forecasting time scales and resource requirements of projects to minimise the likelihood of time and cost overruns Co\-ordinating the flow of information to ensure that interfaces within projects are effectively managed to optimise efficiencies Developing Critical Path Project Schedules incorporating, resource, cost and risk analysis and the monitoring and reporting of progress against that planned **Minimum Requirements** Relevant experience within a Project environment, with experience of design, procurement and/or construction being an advantage\. Evidence of having worked as a Planning Engineer or Consultant for a number of years, preferably some as a Senior Planning Engineer or Senior Consultant Well\-versed in the application of planning principles across project areas\. Good periods of employment/contract placements Relevant and transferable experience Good technical, communication and interpersonal skills Advanced report writing skills including for Planning metric outputs in various formats Demonstrable staff mentoring skills and evidence of emerging management skills A comprehensive knowledge of advanced Critical Path Analysis \(CPA\) techniques Demonstrable evidence of the application of Earned Value Management techniques Extensive working knowledge and use of a range of proprietary planning and Project Controls systems including Primavera 5\.0 minimum \(preferably version 8\.2\) Experience of applying relevant software and reporting tools in a range of contexts Understanding of project management and control techniques Not less than a Bachelor’s degree or HND in a technical discipline, such as engineering, business applied sciences or equivalent\. Proven Relevant experience will also be considered\.Practitioner qualification in PRINCE2 or Managing Successful Programmes \(MSP\) is desirable but not essentialinstitution, typically MCIOB, MICE or MAPM **Preferred Qualifications** Not less than a Bachelor’s degree or HND in a technical discipline, such as engineering, business applied sciences or equivalent\.
