Our global network of top\-tier specialists delivers comprehensive services over the full life cycle of a project to benefit clients in government and private industries\. **Job Summary** + Provides overall project management and coordination with architectural/engineering professionals\. + Coordinates with staff, other agency officials, local governments, architects/engineers etc\. to develop preliminary schedules, procurement and project requirements and detailed scope of work estimate by development of the design documents for bid\. + Investigates and considers alternative ideas and concepts during engineering design conceptualization, to ensure development of the most appropriate solutions\. + Manages the development of feasibility and environmental impact studies, preliminary engineering, and conceptual designs for major capital investments\. + Develops project management plans to identify stakeholder needs, acquire project authorization, implement change management processes and carry out project communications throughout the organization\. + Manages the preparation of project scopes of work, plans, schedules, and budgets\. + Manages the preparation of progress and performance reports to monitor and control capital projects\. + Monitors all aspects of projects assigned\. Manages the schedules and budgets to ensure positive project performance\. Conducts monthly project status briefs to upper management\. + Manages project design, preparation of contract documents, procurement of material, equipment, and contractors, and all construction activities necessary to execute capital projects\. + Manages the quality and safety of work performed on capital projects\. + Manages the acquisition of real estate parcels required for capital projects\. + Identifies and evaluates project risks and develops plans to mitigate the potential affects of unplanned events on assigned projects\. Manages the preparation of agreements and facilitates design and construction performed by other government agencies and private developers working around MARTA facilities with private property owners, franchised utilities, railroads and other government agencies\. **Minimum Requirements** + Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline and a minimum of \(10\) ten years of progressively responsible experience in the planning, design, procurement, and implementation of large\-scale construction or integrated systems capital improvement projects\. + Comprehensive experience in the preparation, budgeting, negotiation, and administration of contracts with both public and private organizations is desired\. + Experience preparing scope statements, estimates, and forecasts is desired\. + Experience using professional scheduling software and Microsoft Office products is preferred\.
