**Job Summary** The Survey/GIS Division of AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented Survey Crew Chief for immediate employment in its Columbia, SC office\.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Oversee work of a survey crew
+ Accurately read and interpret drawing and blueprints
+ Perform necessary survey calculations
+ Keep thorough notes and records
+ Expert understanding of the equipment and technology for surveying activities
+ May communicate with client and/or Project Manager\(s\)Performs necessary survey calculations
+ May exercise independent judgment
+ Outdoor work environment subject to hot/cold temperatures and uneven terrain
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Associate's degree in engineering technology or construction related field \(or equivalent construction\-related work experience\)
+ Minimum five years of solid survey experience
+ Thorough understanding of the equipment and technology for surveying activities, including GPS\. In addition, a good knowledge of relevant software \(e\.g\., Excel, Outlook, Word\)
+ Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and the ability to travel
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience working with oil/gas pipeline surveys
