**About the Business Line** **Mining/Minerals & Industry**
We deliver mines, mineral processing plants and associated infrastructure across some of the world’s richest resource regions including Australia, New Zealand, the Americas, Asia and Africa\. We provide mining support and infrastructure for surface minerals projects, including ports, heavy rail, haul roads, airfields, camp facilities, buildings, power and water supply services\.
**Job Summary** **Role Summary:**
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our AECOM team on a casual contract\. As a Senior Professional, you will contribute to the winning, management and delivery of moderate to large scale projects\. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of resources, budgets and timelines and enhancing client and working relationships\. This role may assist with preparing proposals and presentations to clients to win work
**Minimum Requirements** **Key Requirements**
•Experience in delivering study phase \(pre\-feasibility, feasibility etc\) engineering and provision of materials estimates for infrastructure including;
◦Mine infrastructure \(eg services, facilities, materials handling\)
◦Regional infrastructure \(eg port facilities, water supply\)
•Infrastructure experience in open cut base metals operations \(copper, gold, zinc etc\) is desirable
•SE Asian project experience \(Philippines\) is desirable
•Strong ability to present well in front of clients
**Preferred Qualifications** **Ideally you will have** :
+ Appropriate tertiary qualification
+ >10years relevant professional experience
+ Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects and meeting delivery requirements
+ Experience in successfully leading project teams
+ Strong oral and written communication skills, report writing, development of proposals
+ Demonstrated time management and organisational skills
+ Demonstrated commercial acumen and the ability to develop relationships
+ Proven results in building client relationships and business development skills
+ A strong sense of commitment, a willingness to learn and a desire to work in a dynamic deadline driven team environment
+ Quality and productivity in execution of duties and responsibilities as outlined above
+ Timeliness and accuracy of completing tasks
+ Effective collaboration, degree and level of input and professional assistance given to key contacts including all staff and suppliers
