Our global network of top\-tier specialists delivers comprehensive services over the full life cycle of a project to benefit clients in government and private industries\. **Job Summary** AECOM is currently seeking a Marketing/Public Outreach Coordinator to be based out of our Ft\. Lauderdale, FL office\. The Regional Transportation Management Center \(RTMC\) Public Outreach Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of all RTMC training programs required to keep RTMC staff knowledgeable in policies and goals relating to all operations conducted as part of the Intelligent Transportation System \(ITS\) program\. The RTMC Public Outreach Coordinator is responsible for all strategic public relations, public outreach, marketing, advertising, and communication services programs for the ITS program\. The RTMC Public Outreach Coordinator is responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: + Oversees the development and implementation of all training programs and standard operating procedures required to keep staff knowledgeable in policies and goals\. + Manages strategic public relations, public outreach and marketing, advertising, and communication services programs, including tours and offsite events + Works as part of a team to establish clear and measurable goals and objectives for improving communications, marketing, advertising and public affairs/relations activities and efforts while increasing public awareness of these goals, objectives, and services\. + Coordinates communications and activities with the public, school groups, civic and professional organizations, FDOT vendors, roadway users, industry vendors\. + Reviews, edits and approves the creative and production process of all information materials; recommends and oversees marketing research activities + Prepares recommended presentation materials, speeches, awards, and public speaking engagements + Works closely with District Public Information Offices \(PIO\) and assists with responses to public inquiries + Maintains interaction and communication exchange with counterparts from regional and state transportation partners **Minimum Requirements** + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Advertising, Public Relations or a related field + 0\-2 Years’ experience in similar role + The ability to speak clearly; to hear information spoken at normal voice levels; visual acuity for color perception, preparing and analyzing written or computer data, visual inspection involving small defects and/or small parts, to determine accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of work and observe general surroundings and activities + Knowledge of art design and layout for brochures, newsletters, booklets, photographic communications, signs, flyers, posters and various periodicals + Excellent writing and editing skills; public speaking and presentation skills; organizational skills and extensive computer based skills, including but not limited to Windows and MS Office Products including PowerPoint and Publisher, knowledge of Illustrator desired + Ability to recognize communication needs; speak clearly and concisely; use sound judgment and establish effective working relationships + Knowledge and sensitivity to South East Florida’s ethnic and cultural diversity required + Fluency in formal written and verbal English is required **Preferred Qualifications** + Bi\-lingual English/Spanish a plus **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
