We pride ourselves on ensuring we deliver the best customer service possible to our people while building trust and relationships with all of our constituents\. **Job Summary** We are currently recruiting for a Lead Network Engineer to join our busy Network team in our centrally located St Albans office\. The Lead Engineer will be part of a growing, fast paced organization, assisting internal and external customers with design, support and operations ranging from simple network administration to complex strategy, design and configuration\. You will be responsible for the team who currently review, analyze, diagnose, resolve, escalate trouble issues and participate in the ongoing review and improvement of our core network and customer environments\. This position supports both the global networking and global telecom teams\. Our global technology team plans, builds and operates the Wide Area Network including but not limited to LAN, Firewall, Load Balancing, 802\.11 Wireless, WAN Optimization, Unified Communications and Video applications\. As the Lead Network Engineer, you will have the following responsibilities: •  Lead the Network team and provide support for network products, mainly Cisco, and services deployed around the globe and also support global IT with design, build and operate responsibilities\. •  Provide clear technical and business leadership to the team members including work prioritization and delegation\. •  Work with the extended team to draft and publish Global Networking Standards for IT\. •  Lead the team meetings and draft team actions, as well as conducting team member reviews, appraisals, setting goals and objectives\. •  Configure and maintain standard QoS templates across all network devices\. •  Provide second and third level support to Network Operations and Service desk teams\. •  Provide monthly reporting for Senior Management\. •  Provides 24x7 production support to the enterprise\. •  Provides World Class Customer Service to internal and external customers\. •  Manage requests from internal ticketing systems\. •  Provides support for compliance initiatives i\.e\. SOX\. •  Performs analysis of network needs and contributes to design of network architecture, integration, and installation\. •  Configure industry standard tools such as Science Logic EM7 or Solarwinds to monitor IPT & voice environments\. •  Configure Science Logic EM7 or Solarwinds to provide reporting of network environments •  Installs and maintains local and wide area network hardware and software, network nodes, terminals, and wiring\. •  Install and maintain CUCM 9\.1, CUC, CUE, UCCE, and UCCX 9\.x environments\. •  Evaluates local area network hardware and software requirements and capabilities and makes recommendations for continued investment including budgeting\. •  Monitors and maintains network stability\. •  Communicates and coordinates network activities, changes, backups, and downtime to leadership team\. •  Prepares and maintains documentation of network configurations and cabling layouts\. •  Establishes network users, user environments, directories, and security for networks being installed\. •  Responds to inquiries regarding data and computer security, policies, and procedures\. •  Leads the planning, communication, testing, and implementation of disaster recovery procedures\. •  Researches and implements security and firewall strategies with assistance from NetSec team\. •  Monitors network traffic and makes necessary recommendations for additional resources or hardware\. •  Researches and evaluates new technologies\. •  Performs complex technical tasks including debugging and supporting hardware modules and systems\. •  Performs network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose complex network problems\. •  Responds to needs and questions of users concerning their access of network resources\. •  Coordinates third\-party maintenance for network hardware and software issues/upgrades\. •  Support for Mitel, NEC, and Shoretel implementations\. **Minimum Requirements** + Degree educated or equivalent in an IT or related field\. + Significant network engineering experience with focus on Cisco foundation, UC and Video products and experience in leading a team across regions\. + Demonstrated experience in the area of centralized monitoring, network capacity planning, network performance reporting, network optimization, and troubleshooting of enterprise network deployments\. + Demonstrated experience implementing security policies and procedures for networks\. + Working knowledge in BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, DMVPN, HSRP, PBR, CBAC, VRF, PKI’s Client and Clientless SSL VPN, Windows AD/ DNS/DHCP/PKI and 802\.1x specifically EAP\-TLS, Solarwinds and/or ScienceLogic EM7\. + Proven experience on Cisco ASR and ISR Routers, L2/L3 Switches, Cisco Nexus, Cisco UCS, Cisco VSS, Cisco ASA & IPS, BigIP LTM/GTM/WA, Websense Proxy servers, Riverbed WAN Optimization, and Cisco ISE, WCS, WLC, HREAP and Palo Alto next generation firewalls\. + Demonstrated experience with Unity Connection & Unified Contact Center Enterprise \(UCCE\)\. + Demonstrated experience with Fidelus Operator Console\. + Experience with Tandberg VCS, VCS\-e, MSE8710, and MCU8510 desirable\. + Design and hands on Knowledge/ Experience of H\.323, H248, MGCP and SIP\. + Design and hands on Knowledge / Experience of Voice over Internet Protocol \(VoIP\) and IP trunking concepts, topology design – VoIP media RTP/RTCP\. + Expertise with Signaling Protocols – ISDN, CAS, Analogue, T1/E1 PRI, E&M\. + Experience / Knowledge of compression algorithms – G729, G711, G722 etc… + CCNP required\. + CCIE, MCITP and MCSE would also be beneficial\. + Excellent oral and written communication skills essential\. + Architecture, engineering and construction experience desirable\. + Ability to work independently, define priorities, and meet critical deadlines\. + Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills to resolve issues and challenges\. + Experience / Knowledge of Palo Alto next generation firewalls **Preferred Qualifications** + Degree educated or equivalent in an IT or related field\. **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
