**Position Summary:**
The Area Manager reports directly to the Regional Vice President and is responsible for operations of multiple service lines within an assigned geographic area\. Working closely with the service line experts as well as the applicable corporate functions, the Area Manager is responsible to source, bid and execute work in accordance with URS practices and processes in support of the regional strategic plan\. The Area Manager is also responsible for the day to day administration required to support the operational efforts of the assigned area including any satellite locations\.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Responsible to ensure all work within a specific geographic area is performed in accordance with URS approved practices and processes as outlined in various applicable documents including the URS Safety Manual, the Workface Planning Manual, the Human Resource Policy Manual, etc\.
+ In partnership with the Regional Vice President and the Business Development Team, responsible for the promotion of all service lines that are included within the assigned geographic location\.
+ Responsible for the collection and reporting of all financial information pertaining to the assigned area as per the scorecard targets including budget analysis, variance tracking, cut off analysis, revenue recognition and DSO tracking\.
+ In partnership with the applicable service lines and corporate functions, ensuring that the area manpower needs are forecasted and appropriate plans are in place to recruit, develop and retain a workforce in order to meet the strategic targets for the area\.
+ Responsible for maintaining and maximizing the utilization of equipment, land and buildings as assigned by the service lines and applicable corporate groups in accordance with the organizational and regional strategic plans\.
+ May be required to perform other duties as assigned not otherwise captured in this position description\.
+ This role will split time between the office and the field\.
