(CAN-AB-Fort McMurray) Mechanical Quality Inspector, Intermediate

**Position Summary:** The Quality Inspector, Intermediate uses the applicable procedures, codes and standards to perform quality inspections and tests on the applicable discipline to determine the acceptability of the work\. The QC Inspector ensures the contracted deliverables and quality standards are met through the audit process\. **Responsibilities:** •Perform Inspections, quality surveillances and ensure activities are completed as per the Inspection and Test Plan \[ITP\] and inter\-discipline release sequence •Prepare Inspection and Test Records \[ITR\] for activities completed and check ITRs completed by Junior Inspectors •Ensure all test equipment \(related discipline\) are calibrated at the time of use, both internal and subcontractors •Familiarize with the quality related processes and procedures, generate/verify and sign off QA \(NCR, CAR, PAR, QSR\) and Change Management \[RFI, FCN, FCR, DCN etc\.\] Documents after work is completed by Construction and verify and sign off construction markups for final redlines •Provide input for corrective actions for closing client and Internal non\-conformance reports •Notify witness and hold points to the client and Participate in Construction/QC walk\-down \(discipline\-specific\) •Identify and execute client quality deliverables per the project Construction Quality Plan\. •Ensures the project quality inspection and test plan requirements are followed, signed\-off both internally and by the Client\. •Comply to, the companies Safety & Quality Management Systems \[QMS/SMS\] and Canadian federal and provincial Safety Codes Act and jurisdictional requirement \(i\.e\. province of Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba or equivalent\) •Assist with the timely compiling of all required quality documents for turnover packages in order to meet project deadlines and schedules\.\. •Reviews the Construction Work Package \[CWP\] to fully understand the project deliverables\. •Experience with piping, rotating, non\-stationary and stationary equipment\. •Review the Construction Work Package \[CWP\] to fully understand the project deliverables, resolve any deficiencies, and discuss with Senior Quality Inspector\. •Knowledge of field or module assembly inspection of boilers, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, pumps etc\. •Perform preservation activities in conjunction with construction personal •Perform final inspection and pre\-commissioning activities \(pipe alignment, lube flush etc\.\) •Collaborate with other functions to enhance project success on an as\-needed basis required by the Technical Services Lead\. •Interface with all functions/positions including, equipment, piping, electrical, instrumentation, civil/structural inspectors, field technicians, technical assistants and field superintendents responsible for the test of systems\. •Interface with the Client’s Quality department members as required\. •Daily reporting of all field inspections per the Quality Inspection flow chart and work instructions\. •Participates in the lessons learned process •Attend and contribute information during team meetings with regards to current/outstanding issues and/or weekly progress\. •Participate in internal & external audits •Provide mentoring and ensures Junior Inspectors under his/her direct supervision comply to the companies Safety & Quality Management Systems \[QMS/SMS\] and Canadian federal and provincial Safety Codes Act and Jurisdictional requirement •Participates in the lessons learned process •Attend and contribute information during team meetings with regards to current/outstanding issues and/or weekly progress\. •Participate in internal & external audits •Provide mentoring and ensures Junior Inspectors under his/her direct supervision comply to the companies Safety & Quality Management Systems \[QMS/SMS\] and Canadian federal and provincial Safety Codes Act and Jurisdictional requirement •Minimum of 2\-5 experience required in the field of discipline within the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical Construction industries\. •Professional designated preferred such as: •Journeyman millwright trade certification\. •API 510 and Valid Eye Test •C\.E\.T\.
