**About the Business Line** **Environment**
Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources\.
**Job Summary** AECOM’s Omaha Office is seeking experienced engineers and scientists to support their considerable backlog of environmental cleanup projects for the Department of Defense and the Private Sector, primarily the rail and power industries, and to work on new pursuits\. In addition to performance\-based environmental projects involving a wide variety of contaminants in all media, this position also includes work on former military ranges and disposal areas, investigating and cleaning up ordnance\-related materials\. Qualified candidates will serve on a variety of project teams and locations, with the opportunity to grow in to higher levels of project and program management positions\.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Prepare, review, and update environmental investigation and recommendation reports
+ Provide advanced technical\-level support for environmental remediation projects, including remediation system design and determination of regulatory applicability
+ Manage environmental field investigations and sampling including low\-flow groundwater sampling, installation of groundwater monitoring wells, direct push investigations, environmental sampling, and aquifer testing
+ Manage environmental remediation field activities including emergency response support, oversight of remedial actions and installation of remediation systems
+ Operate, optimize and maintain environmental remediation systems including soil vapor extraction, multiphase extraction, groundwater pump and treat, and other technologies
+ Research feasibility of alternative design approaches, site conditions, and regulatory agency specifications
+ Work on individual tasks with minimum oversight
+ Interact with multi\-discipline and multi office team within AECOM
+ Provide support for client's engineering plans, specification, calculations, reports, etc\.
+ Collaborate with environmental scientists, geologists, technicians and other specialists to address environmental problems
+ Mentor junior staff
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelors Degree In Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or related fields
+ Minimum 7 years of experience
+ Experience in the Military Munitions Response Program \(MMRP\), Environmental Remediation Program \(ERP\), Environmental Compliance, and/or Health and Safety
+ Experience completing investigations, studies, designs and/or remedial construction projects for the MMRP and ERP
+ Knowledgeable in environmental compliance and regulatory issues
+ Ability to support H&S requirements for MMRP and ERP projects and experience with H&S audits
+ Excellent verbal and communication skills required with ability to work independently or as a member of a team
+ Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre\-employment substance abuse test
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Broad exposure to different types of projects including some experience across different business lines
+ Experience in the Military Munitions Response Program \(MMRP\), Environmental Remediation Program \(ERP\), Environmental Compliance, and/or Health and Safety
+ Experience completing investigations, studies, designs and/or remedial construction projects for the MMRP and ERP
